Contributing to productivity improvement in laboratories and pharmaceutical manufacturing plants

Of the work processes that perform intuitive operations like movements that require delicacy, acceleration and deceleration, we have developed a prototype of the operating system that can control the fine work by remote simply such as absorption (intake) and discharge of liquid using a pipette mainly performed in the cell culture process.

(1) The robot used in this system employs a "human collaborative robot" on both the operation side and the remote side, enabling safe and stable operation suitable for cell culture.

(2) By adopting a small high-precision servomotor for the drive unit of the pipette body operated by the robot, the delicate movement of the pipette can be accurately transmitted from the operation side to the remote robot, so that the fine operation is possible as if working on the spot.

(3) Since the acquired data (robot behavior, pipette movement, video, etc.) during robot operation can be saved, it is possible to analyze the effect of detailed pipette movement on cells.

By using μDD motor,
①Weight and space saving is possible
②It is possible to detect the current value of the motor and the value of the encoder with high accuracy because it has a gearless structure.
③Back drivability is superior, so μDD motor does not impair the operability.
