SCARA robot capable of repeatability ± 1 μm

SCARA robot that is used μDD motor (made by our company for accuracy experiment)

We have created a compact robot by using a hollow shaft type of direct drive motor and passing a cable through the hollow shaft.

The base of this SCARA robot is made of acrylic material.

We have confirmed a stopping accuracy of 1μm at the tip about 30cm from the motor shaft.
